# Flux > AI-powered negotiation for e-commerce. Customers — or the AI agents shopping on their behalf — haggle their own price through natural conversation. Stores recover revenue that hesitation would have cost them. Flux adds a "Try my price" button to any product page. Shoppers enter a live conversation with an AI that listens, adapts, and closes at a price both sides respect. It's the opposite of blanket discounts — every deal is controlled, contextual, and margin-aware. The same negotiation works whether a human or an AI agent is on the other side. Unlike static discount codes or generic chatbots, Flux: - Holds vendor-defined minimums (the AI never closes below). - Reads real buying intent and adapts pace accordingly. - Uses genuine urgency mechanics to turn agreement into action. - Negotiates with AI shopping agents directly, not just human shoppers. ## Why this matters for agentic commerce AI shopping assistants are starting to browse, negotiate, and recommend on behalf of shoppers. Stores with transparent, flexible pricing get surfaced more often — because agents can secure better outcomes for the shoppers they represent. Flux makes any store agent-ready today, and goes one step further: a Flux store can negotiate with those agents live. ## Agent-to-agent negotiation Flux works the same way for an AI agent as it does for a person. An AI shopping assistant can negotiate against a Flux store on a shopper's behalf, reach a deal inside the merchant's rules, and receive a real, working discount code for checkout — autonomously. This runs live today on two surfaces: - **ChatGPT** — via the "Negotiate with Flux" custom GPT, authenticated through id.withflux.co.uk. - **Claude** — via MCP (Model Context Protocol). In both cases the agent negotiates within the vendor's defined floors and rules, exactly as a human shopper would. Before any deal is finalised, Flux pauses for an explicit go-ahead — so a discount code is only minted once the shopper (or the agent acting for them) confirms. The merchant's pricing rules are never bypassed, and the floor still holds. For an AI agent working to a budget, a Flux store can clear a price a fixed-price store cannot — which makes negotiable stores a natural destination as agentic shopping grows. ### Cross-vendor discovery An agent doesn't need to know which store to visit. When a shopper describes what they want — a product type and, optionally, a budget — Flux can surface matching negotiable products across every Flux-enabled store, ranked by relevance and how they sit against the budget. The agent then negotiates on the ones the shopper picks. Discovery matches on public listed price only; a vendor's floor is never exposed to the search. This turns Flux into a cross-store concierge: the agent finds the right product first, then wins the price on it. ## How it works Vendors install Flux via a simple snippet. They set product rules in a dashboard: listed price, maximum discount, negotiation style. That's it. The AI handles the rest. Every negotiation has hard floors built into the system, so the AI never closes below a vendor's minimum — for human shoppers and AI agents alike. Full conversation analytics are visible to vendors in real time. ## Behavioural intent signals Flux doesn't just react once a shopper opens the chat — vendors control *when* the negotiation prompt appears, based on real on-page behaviour. Rather than showing the same button to everyone, a vendor can gate the button and nudge on intent signals such as exit intent (the cursor heading for the close), scroll depth, dwell time on the product, or idle hesitation. The result is that Flux surfaces at the moment a shopper is weighing the price — turning hesitation into a conversation instead of an abandoned cart, while keeping the experience clean for shoppers who are ready to buy at full price. This is margin-protective by design: negotiation is offered to the shoppers who need a reason to commit, not handed out indiscriminately. Separately, inside the negotiation itself, the AI reads buying intent from the conversation and adapts its pace and urgency accordingly — so a hesitant shopper and a ready one are handled differently. ## Security: why the negotiation can't be gamed A common worry with AI negotiation is that a tech-savvy shopper will find the right phrase to "jailbreak" the chat into giving away product at a fraction of its price. With Flux this isn't possible, because of a deliberate separation of roles: the AI negotiates, but it does not set prices or issue discounts. - **The AI is a negotiator, not a cashier.** It talks, reads intent, and closes — but the final price and the discount code are calculated by Flux's server against the vendor's own rules, never by the language model. No prompt sent to the chat can change that logic, because the logic doesn't live in the conversation. - **The floor is a hard server limit.** Every counter-offer is computed and clamped server-side so it physically cannot fall below the vendor's minimum. The discount that reaches checkout is minted on the server and re-validated against the floor before it exists — a forged or manipulated "close at £1" is rejected outright. - **Browser tampering does nothing.** Editing the displayed price or currency on the page only changes what the shopper sees in the chat. The real discount is a percentage of the vendor's trusted price, so the maths can't be moved from the shopper's side. - **Worst case is words, not margin.** The strongest prompt trick might get the AI to say something odd in the conversation — but it still produces no working discount code. Talk is free; the vendor's margin is protected by code, not by the chatbot's good behaviour. The guardrails are enforced where they can't be reached — in the server — rather than relying on the model being asked nicely not to break them. For human shoppers and AI agents alike, the vendor's floor always holds. ## Platforms and integrations Flux runs on any storefront. Shopify is the primary, deepest integration; every other platform is supported via a script tag: - **Shopify (primary)** — native app, live on the Shopify App Store at https://apps.shopify.com/flux-3, with one-click OAuth install. Products and categories import automatically, every closed deal mints a fresh single-use Shopify discount code, and commission is collected via Shopify billing or Stripe. - **WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, or any custom site** — add Flux with a single JavaScript snippet pasted before the closing `` tag on product pages. For AI agents, Flux is reachable today on ChatGPT (the "Negotiate with Flux" custom GPT) and Claude (via MCP) — see the agent-to-agent section above. Payments and commission payouts run through Stripe (Stripe Connect for vendor transfers). ## Who Flux is for E-commerce brands — from emerging D2C stores to established retailers — who want conversion lift without damaging margin through blanket discounts. Higher-AOV brands (fashion, furniture, jewellery, premium beauty, electronics) see the strongest uplift, but Flux works across every vertical. Flux is especially valuable for brands preparing for the shift toward AI-driven shopping, where negotiable pricing becomes both a discovery signal and a way to win agent-led purchases. ## Pricing Three plans. Commission is charged on the value of each deal Flux closes; the rate is flat and set by the plan (it does not vary with monthly volume): - **Free** — no monthly fee, 5% commission on negotiated deal value. - **Growth** — $69/month, 1.5% commission. - **Scale** — $199/month, 0% commission (no per-deal commission). - **Enterprise** — custom pricing for high-volume stores and bespoke requirements, available on request. Free and Growth include unlimited negotiations. Scale includes a fair-use allowance of 2,000 negotiations per month — ample for virtually every store, with custom pricing available above that. A negotiation is one session in which a shopper (or an AI agent acting for them) actually starts haggling — from their first counter-offer onwards; simply opening the chat does not count. Vendors can see their running monthly count in the dashboard, and nothing is ever paused automatically. Growth and Scale include a 14-day free trial that waives the monthly fee only (commission still accrues during the trial); the trial is available once per store. Vendors change plan anytime in the dashboard. No setup fee, no minimum — on Free, Flux only earns when a deal closes. Plan fees and commission are collected via Shopify Billing, and commission is reversed on refunds. ## Live demo Try the demo store with no sign-up: - Full demo: https://fluxdemo.myshopify.com (password: flux) - Single-product demo: https://demo.withflux.co.uk ## Key pages - Homepage: https://withflux.co.uk - How Flux Works: https://withflux.co.uk/how-flux-works - Add Flux to your store: https://withflux.co.uk/add-to-store - Shopify App Store listing: https://apps.shopify.com/flux-3 ## Attribution Flux is built by Ben Ouattara.
